POGO is a fully-equipped classic Downeast Pocket Cruiser built in 1971. The model of the
boat is called a "Pogo", believed to be built by Gary Libby at Damariscotta Boat Works. This boat has always been a cruiser, featuring a Vee-berth, port-and-starboard split galley with a sink and one-burner butane stove, toilet with holding tank, a 12-volt DC freshwater
pump with filter and many recent upgrades. VERY GOOD CONDITION.
The hull is a solid lay-up of FRP (Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic), being a skeg-built design (fine entry, round chines and a flat bottom with a skeg keel). As a result, POGO can reach a top speed of 24 knots at 4400 rpm and cruises comfortably at 15 knots. This boat is very manueverable and comfortable to travel in...very suitable for weekend and week-long cruises.
Fuel consumption ranges from two gallons per hour at 5 knots to about 6 gallons per hour at wide open throttle (24 knots). It cruises at 17 knots consuming 3.5 gph.
The decks, trunk cabin and wheel house are FRP over marine plywood. The hull and all structures are very solid. There is a 12 gallon fresh water tank (FRP over plywood) and two
20 gallon (total of 40 gallons) aluminum saddle gasoline tanks. All systems are in very good condition and the boat is fully-equipped and ready to sail. The improvements and equipment list follow:

* Wheelhouse roof converted from a soft-top to an extended hard-top (2001).
* Porta-Potti installed in 2006.
* Beige Sunbrella side and back curtains added (2001).
